Mobile Coffee Carts and Coffee Trailers: Custom Build From the Factory
A coffee cart is a kitchen that has to work standing sideways in 2.4 metres, serve a queue in ninety seconds, and get hosed down at the end of the day. Most carts are drawn like furniture and then fail on the first busy Saturday, because the water, the waste and the working space were decided after the shape.
We build mobile coffee cart counters and coffee trailer fit-outs in our own factory: stainless service tops, cabinetry, sinks, shelving and the panel work that ties the unit to your brand.
What the cart has to do before nine
The morning rush sets the layout. One person takes orders and cash, one makes coffee, and neither should cross the other’s path more than necessary. Draw the two positions first, then place the machine, grinder, cups and milk fridge around them. If the espresso machine sits behind the barista’s shoulder, every drink costs a turn.
Counter height and the working triangle
Service tops at 900 mm suit most carts, but a trailer with a raised floor often lands better at 850 mm once you stand inside it. Keep the three points that matter — machine, sink, serving hatch — inside a triangle you can reach without stepping. Anything outside it becomes a storage problem disguised as a counter.
Water, waste and power
Fresh water in, waste water out, and both tanks sized for the shift rather than the day. A 40 litre fresh tank is common for a cart doing 150 cups; a trailer doing double that needs the tanks under the floor, not under the sink, or you lose the only storage you have. Power is the other half: decide whether the machine runs on the site supply or a generator, because the cable route and the ventilation follow that decision.
Materials that survive service
Stainless on the wet side, and a substrate that will not swell at the cut edges on the dry side. Sealed edges and a coved upstand at the wall line matter more than the finish you photograph: water finds the one raw edge in a counter and the whole panel goes soft within a season.
Trailers and transport
When the unit moves on a trailer, the fit-out has to be built to be towed. Cabinetry is fixed to the shell with mechanical fasteners, tanks are strapped, and the counter is designed so nothing shifts under braking. Give us the internal shell dimensions and the door position, and the layout works to the opening you actually have.
Start with a drawing
Start with a free 3D design of the cart or trailer interior at your real shell dimensions, quoted DDP to your door, through our contact page. Send the machine and fridge dimensions with the shell measurements, and the layout will fit the equipment rather than the other way around.
