Juice Bar & Bubble Tea Counters: Custom Manufacturing for Drink Shops
Two machines decide the depth
The counter depth is decided by the equipment, not by the look. A cold-press juicer needs roughly 500 mm of clear worktop in front of it; a cup-sealing machine needs a flat, stable landing at the end of the run so cups do not travel far while wet. Measure both machines first, then set the counter at 700–750 mm deep. A counter built to a drawing without the machine dimensions is the single most common reason a new drinks bar goes back for modification.
The wet zone: drain, splash and seal
Everything here is wet and sticky. Specify a recessed drain channel behind the worktop with a continuous fall, a 100 mm splash guard at the back, and a sealed solid-surface or quartz top — not laminate, which swells at the first overflow. Add a small sink to the run unless a separate wash-up is planned; almost every site ends up wanting one within a month of opening.
Cup dispensers, seal station and under-counter storage
Cups are the highest-turn item in the shop, so keep them in a row of stainless cup dispensers set into the counter, sized to the exact rim diameter you buy. Put the sealed-cup bin under the sealing station, and use pull-out drawers for lids, straws and napkins. Below the front panel, a refrigerated ingredient rail or an under-counter fridge keeps fruit and syrups within reach without staff walking away from the customer.
Finish for a wet, high-traffic room
Choose a front panel that can be wiped down and will not mark: fluted panel, powder-coated steel or solid surface. Keep toe space of 100 mm so staff mop under the run, and lift the cabinet on adjustable feet rather than letting it sit in the wash water. Rounded counter corners matter on a bar this busy.
Order the run as a manufactured unit
Buying the counter, back bar and cup rails from one manufacturer gives you one drawing, one quote and one delivery date, with the machine cut-outs already made. Send the machine models and the rim diameter of your cups; that is what the factory needs to set the openings. Sample one section first, approve the finish and the drain fall, then build the run to the approved sample.
