Pegboard Display Walls: Custom Pegboard Panels From the Factory
Pegboard is the display wall everyone thinks they can buy cheaply, and the one that looks worst when they do. A thin board with ragged holes sags between fixings, hooks drop out under load, and the whole wall reads as temporary in a shop that is meant to look permanent.
We manufacture pegboard panels, steel pegboard systems and the hooks, bins and shelves that fit them in our own factory, so the hole pitch, the board thickness and the fixing pattern are set for the products you will hang.
Pitch and thickness before anything else
Pegboard is a hole standard. The common pitch is 25 mm (one inch) on centres, and every hook, bin and shelf in the market is built to it, so we hold that pitch exactly and quote hole diameter with the drawing. Thickness is the second decision: a 3 mm hardboard panel handles light carded goods, a 6 mm or 9 mm panel carries tools and hardware, and steel pegboard carries what board cannot. Choosing the panel before knowing the load is how shops end up doubling up panels six months later.
Steel, MDF or hardboard
Steel pegboard is the answer for hardware stores, tool walls and anywhere a hook takes repeated pull: the perforated sheet does not ovalise, and the powder coat takes a colour match. MDF and hardboard pegboard suit fashion accessories, stationery and lighter retail, and they are cheaper per square metre for long runs. White pegboard is the most requested finish because it makes small product read against the wall, and we keep it in both board and steel.
Fixing is what makes it look permanent
A pegboard wall fails at the fixings, not the holes. We specify a ply or batten backing behind board panels so the load transfers to the wall, keep a 40 mm stand-off where cables or trunking run behind, and cap every edge with a trim so the cut face is never visible. Where the wall is plasterboard, we send a fixing schedule rather than leaving it to site.
Fittings, kits and the rebuild
The panel is half the order. We supply pegboard hooks in several lengths, bin clips, shelf brackets, sign holders and complete kits for a standard 1200 mm bay, and we label the fittings by bay so a refit does not turn into a sorting exercise. A pegboard display stand uses the same panel and fittings on a freestanding frame, which is what a mid-floor or window position needs.
Ordering from the factory
Send the wall elevations or a measured sketch, the products and their weights, whether you want steel or board, and the delivery city, and we return a 3D layout, a panel and fixing schedule and a fixed quotation within two working days. Production takes 25 to 35 days, and we quote DDP so freight, duty and clearance sit inside one price rather than arriving as a second invoice at the port.
Send us four things and the quotation comes back faster: wall lengths and heights, the load per hook or shelf, steel or board, and your opening date.
