Tool Display Racks & Hardware Store Fixtures: Custom Manufacturing

Start with the weight, not the bays

Tools are heavy and they hang, so the wall is a structural job before it is a merchandising job. Ask for the load rating per hook and per bay, and for backing that will not dish under a full row of spanners. A pegboard panel carried on a steel frame takes far more than a panel fixed straight to plasterboard.

Pegboard, slatwall or a mix

Pegboard gives the densest hook pattern for small hand tools, while slatwall takes shelves, trays and basket holders and reads cleaner where the stock changes weekly. Most good runs mix the two: pegboard for pliers, spanners and screwdrivers, slatwall for boxed items and power tool accessories.

Lock the expensive rows

Put the high-value items behind a lockable glass case with a gas strut and a single key, and keep it in sight of the counter. Reserve a base cabinet with drawers for the stock that feeds the wall, so nobody has to walk to the back room during a sale.

Give the paint desk its own run

A paint mixing counter wants a wipe-clean top at 900 mm, a tint machine bay with its own power, and a display rack in front where customers compare colours. Keep it clear of the tool wall so a queue at the mixer never blocks the aisles.

Order the run as a manufactured system

A tool display rack manufacturer will quote from your aisle plan, the number of bays and your load requirements, and should return a shop drawing with bay widths, panel centres and fixing details before production starts. Ask what the price includes — crating, freight and duty — so you compare landed cost rather than the invoice value.

Send us four things and the quotation comes back faster: the bays and racks you need, your aisle plan or a sketch, your country and city, and your opening date. We reply with a free 3D design and a fixed quotation for your tool display racks, slatwall panels and gondola runs — we manufacture, QC and deliver DDP to your country, duty paid.
